How To Import A .bas File In Excel For Mac

ExcelHow to import a .bas file in excel for mac download

Hello, I am trying to import a macro that was exported as a.bas file, into Excel 2013. Our company uses Citrix so there is no 'C' drive to save the macro into the XLSTART folder as I've read. I can add the macro when I first open Excel 2013 by using the Developer tab/VBA to import it, but the next time I open Excel 2013, it's no longer there. It doesn't give me any option to save the macro when I'm in VBA. How do I, or where can I save this macro so I don't have to import it each time I open Excel? Hi klinem, As Bernie Deitrick said you can store you macros in Personal.xlsb Workbook. That’s a hidden workbook stored on your computer, which opens every time you open Excel.

I wrote some macro's in excel for mac 2011 and/or regular excel, and saved them as.bas files. However company policy pushed excel for mac 2016, and since then I can no longer import previously written VBA code, saved as.bas file, into my workbook.

To import a BAS file and add it to a workbook project, select the Developer tab and click on the Visual Basic button to open the VB editor. On the VB editor, click File and then click Import File to display the Import File dialog box. Navigate to the appropriate folder and select the file to be imported. You can use it to import modules/userforms to other Excel files or to update the code. The Export macro will export every module(.bas),class module(.cls).
